Re-imagining Collective Swimming in North Point | yucolab
Water level outside North Point Public Pier

There were once popular swimming decks and huts in North Point located near the nowadays Tsat Tsz Mui Road. Operated by a recreation club, they provided a leisure and sporting space for the public. In time, the process of urbanisation has created a modernised North Point deprived of natural space. This art installation embodies such memories and reminisces over the special relationship between the North Point community and the bustling coastline, reflecting our more-than-human connection with the city. This installation will remain performatory, but its imagery shall initiate much needed discussion for a sustainable future.

yucolab is a team of multi-disciplinary talents who strive to constantly bring creative strategies to life. Dedicated to experiential design and multimedia interactive installations, yucolab has innovatively incorporated the transformative concept of scenography into their design methodology to create a fresh and memorable immersive experience to the audiences.
